Roy Solomon - Roy has over 30 years of experience in the management and ownership of large and small companies. He has professional certifications as both Business Transfer Specialist, and Financial Recasting Consultant. He is the President of The Impact Group, a leading business brokerage firm, responsible for business sales and acquisitions. Prior to his business brokerage career, Roy had a successful career as a sales & marketing executive for several computer software companies. Most recently he was Director of Strategic & Business Planning for Nynex Mobile Communications (now Verizon). Mergers & Acquisitions was a key component of his responsibilities.
Roy Solomon is a member of the International Business Brokers Association (IBBA) and is Executive Vice President of the New York Association of Business Brokers (NYABB). He has a B.A. in economics from Queens College. He has completed post graduate work at Dartmouth College.
Ken Stein - Ken has an extensive background working with owners of closely held business. As a Certified Financial Planner®, Ken has helped many owners build value and monetize the value in their business. Ken’s expertise in executive benefits, exit strategies and wealth transfer facilitate a smooth business transition and sale for the business seller. Ken is a Senior Business Intermediary at The Impact Group, and President of Lifestyle Planning in New York City.
Mr. Stein, prior to his business brokerage career, was a wealth management consultant for major commercial banks. He was a mentor and coach to leading financial advisors and bank advisors developing and implementing business planning and estate planning strategies. Ken earned his Certified Financial Planner® designation from The American College, and has a B.A. from SUNY Stony Brook in education.
James V. Forte - Jim is the Principal owner of J. Forte Associates. Jim began his career in the manufacturing sector in 1977, working in various capacities within the metalworking and precision machine tool industries. Prior to starting J. Forte Associates, Jim was a Technical Sales Consultant (CMTSE) providing solutions to owners, plant managers and Manufacturing Engineers resulting in improved quality, efficiency of product lines and methodologies in the manufacturing process. Then, as Co- Founder and Vice President of Whitney Machinery, Jim was engaged in the buying and selling of machine tools, conducted numerous appraisals, and plant liquidations, in addition to direct administrative duties, including corporate, legal, and accounting. Manufacturing Companies remain the concentration of his focus today, as he utilizes various specific disciplines, assisting buyers and sellers of closely held small to medium size businesses achieve their acquisition and exit strategy goals. He is a graduate of the University of Connecticut at Storrs with a BA in Economics. Jim is a Certified Business Broker (CBB), a Member of the Institute of Certified Business Consultants, and holds a Connecticut real estate license (RE).
Carl J. Cusano, MBA, CBI - Carl is the President of Capital Business Advisors, Inc. He has brokered the sale of numerous small and mid-sized businesses, in addition to performing countless business valuations and consulting projects. Carl is a current member and past president of the New York Association of Business Brokers (NYABB). He is a longstanding member of the International Business Brokers Association (IBBA) earning the designation of Certified Business Intermediary.
Carl is an active member of the Albany-Colonie Regional Chamber of Commerce and Rotary International. He frequently lectures on small business and entrepreneurship. Carl serves as an adjunct professor of Business at the College of St. Rose, and has also taught at the State University of New York at Delhi, Schenectady County Community College, Fulton-Montgomery Community College and Adirondack Community College. Prior to his business brokerage career, Carl was a successful in sales and management executive with major U.S. companies in the financial services and medical products industries.
Carl holds an M.B.A. in Marketing from Russell Sage College, a B.S. in Business Administration from the College of Saint Rose, and an A.A.S. in Banking, Insurance & Real Estate from Hudson Valley Community College.
Tony Calvacca, CBI - Tony is a principal of New York Business Brokerage, Inc. and has over 25 years of experience in sales, marketing, and management. Prior to entering the business brokerage profession Tony served as Assistant Vice President in the Employee Benefits Division of Bank of America Corporate Insurance Agency, LLC a subsidiary of Bank of America. In this position, he worked directly with CEO's, CFO's and human resources executives in the financial analysis, strategic design, and implementation of their Medical, Dental, Life and Disability plans. Before joining Bank of America Corporate Insurance Agency, LLC, Tony was employed by Empire Blue Cross Blue Shield as an Account Manager. Working as a small business owner prior to entering the corporate world, he operated a wholesale/retail business for 10 years. It was during this period that Tony developed his entrepreneurial skills by establishing national advertising programs, researching and writing all of his company's marketing materials, and recruiting, training and managing a sales force. Tony is a Certified Business Intermediary (CBI) with the International Business Brokers Association and is the President of the New York Association of Business Brokers (NYABB).
Anthony J. Citrolo, CPA, CVA, CBI – Anthony is a principal of New York Business Brokerage, Inc. and is a Certified Public Accountant having more than 30 years of experience in small business operations and finance. For over 17 years, Anthony owned and operated many national franchised and independent businesses including a tax and accounting practice. After beginning his career as a CPA with Deloitte and Touché, an international accounting firm in New York, Anthony worked as an acquisitions specialist for several Fortune 100 companies where he developed and expanded both regional and national accounts. Anthony is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYSSCPA), and the National Conference of CPA Practitioners (NCCPAP). He is also a Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) and member of the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts (NACVA) and is a Certified Business Intermediary (CBI) with the International Business Brokers Association. Anthony has been named an industry expert in franchise transactions by Business Brokers Press, Inc., a national publisher of educational content for brokers. He authored a course for prospective business owners, which has been offered in Queens College. Anthony attended Nazareth High School in Brooklyn and is a graduate of Baruch College in New York.
